It’s been an amazing year for the Philippines when they won the Miss Universe pageant way back in December 2015 with Pia Wurtzbach bringing home the crown. Now, forty (40) stunning and aspiring ladies will compete in order to follow Pia’s footstep and represent the Philippines in this year’s round of international pageants which includes Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental, etc.

The Binibiling Pilipinas 2016 is the national pageant selection in the Philippines to discover the rightful lady to represent the country international pageants this year. It is the 53^rd edition of Binibining Pilipinas and everyone is eager to win and there’s too much hype in the competition since the country is currently holding the title and crown for Miss Universe.

This year’s Binibining Pilipinas will takes place at Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines on April 17, 2016. Aside from Pia Wurtzbach, other Filipina beauty queens will crown their successor at the end of the event. Among these Filipina beauty pageant titleholders are Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015/Miss Universe-Philippines 2015), Janicel Lubina (Miss International 2015 Top 10 Finalist), Rogelie Catacutan (Miss Supranational 2015 Top 20 Semi-Finalist), Christi McGarry (Miss Intercontinental 2015 1st Runner-up), Ann Lorraine Colis (Miss Globe 2015), and Parul Shah (Miss Grand International 2015 3rd Runner-up).
